Calum McGowan, Chair

I’ve been involved in Castlefield activity since the beginning of the Forum and I’m very proud to call this place home. Helping to influence and make our neighbourhood the best it can be really matters to me. I’m also thrilled to be part of the Castlefield Viaduct delivery board which helps to make sure our community voice is heard as we help bring online a whole new linear park in the sky for Greater Manchester.

A proud adopted Manc, I’ve been in Manchester for 15 years. I live with my young son in Castlefield. I’m incredibly passionate about our neighbourhood and its importance as the foundation of our city. As well as being the Forum’s Vice Chair, I lead the Roman Gardens Action Group. I believe in working together to make Castlefield a great place to live and visit for all, including families.

Debbie Hubbard, Secretary

I have lived in Castlefield for over 20 years now. I have loved this area since the moment I arrived and I'm proud to call it home. I became a Trustee at Castlefield Forum to give something back to the neighbourhood I care so much about, and to help shape how it might look for future generations.

Giles Gover, Treasurer

I have lived in Castlefield since 2008 and I (still) can't see myself ever leaving! I was pleased to have played a small part in the victory for local residents, which culminated in the building becoming The Wharf. I support people-powered governance, volunteer with my building’s RMC, and co-lead Manchester Cladiators, campaigning for homes without cost to residents.

I joined Clean and Green Castlefield on a volunteering session in 2020 and have been hooked ever since. Since then I have become co-lead of Clean and Green and a trustee of the Forum. It is great to balance a very desk-based job with volunteering that makes our community better.

B Hunter, Trustee

I’ve been a trustee for a number of years because I care deeply about our community as a resident. I’m committed to supporting responsible development, protecting Castlefield’s heritage, and ensuring local voices are heard in decisions that shape our neighbourhoods future.

Line Hilton, Trustee

After 12 years in the countryside,  inner city living came as quite a shock. I joined the Viaduct Action group and Clean & Green to connect with the outdoors and greenery. Not only did I get to connect with nature, I got to connect with a fabulous group of people who helped me understand why it's so important to preserve and care about Castlefield. It's such an honour to be involved.

I joined Castlefield Forum online in 2020, then helped shape the Castlefield Viaduct pilot. I’m now a Forum Trustee. I’ve loved Castlefield for years and visit often. After retiring from public-sector regeneration and time as a councillor, I enjoy getting things done. I’m a new grandma, keen to stay active.
